Farragut & Concord
Dock Builder in Farragut
The Town of Farragut, in the Knoxville area of Knox County, was incorporated in 1980. It is named for Admiral David Glasgow Farragut, the first admiral of the U.S. Navy, who was born in the area. The town’s lake side borders Fort Loudoun Lake near the old Concord community, about a third of which was flooded when TVA created the lake in the early 1940s. DOCK&DECK designs and builds custom boat docks for Farragut-area homes on main-channel and cove lots, plus decks and outdoor living spaces at home.
Boat Docks for Farragut and Concord Lots
Lake lots around Farragut and Concord range from open main-channel frontage to sheltered coves. On the main channel, more wind and boat wake mean the pilings, framing and roof are sized for that exposure. In a cove, the width and depth of the water off your bank decide how far the dock can reach and which way the slips face. We look at the slope of the bank, the depth off the shoreline and the view from the house, then design the dock, roof and lift around it. Our own crew builds it.
Already have a dock? We add lifts, roofs, storage rooms and decks to existing docks after checking that the structure can carry them.
TVA Permits for Farragut Docks
Boat docks and shoreline work on Fort Loudoun Lake need a TVA Section 26a permit before construction starts. We prepare and submit your TVA permit paperwork at no charge. You pay TVA’s application fee. Some neighborhoods and jurisdictions require their own approval before a dock can be built. It’s the homeowner’s responsibility to know what their subdivision or jurisdiction requires and to let us know, and we’re glad to assist with any additional permits.
Decks and Outdoor Living in Farragut
Away from the water, we build composite and hardwood decks, covered pavilions and outdoor living spaces, with privacy screens, stairs and multi-level designs where the lot calls for them. One team can plan the dock and the backyard so the details match across your property.
